More Persepolis

Well since I am kind of at a loss for words I figured I would talk about Persepolis some more because that seems to be the trend. So, like we discussed in class on Thursday, I also noticed that she did not explain some of the smaller things that happened towards the end of the book but I did not feel that she should have explained them. I have not read a book yet where everything that happened was explained because if it was, the book would be boring. Something has to be left up to the imagination of the reader. It is part of the audience participation like we have previously discussed in class. If she had not left anything unanswered, then most of the audience would probably blindly read the book because all of the work would have been done for them. Now, I’m not saying that I would not have liked an explanation or two but, in my opinion, I just did not think it was really pertinent to the story.
