Composition 2
After our in class composition 2 workshop, I feel much better with my paper. I admit that I was kind of lost for awhile and not sure what to do with my paper, but after the workshop, many of my questions were answered and I feel much better with what I am going to write about. Not only was it helpful with feedback from two other people, but as I was looking at the other papers I was thinking of ideas for my own. I found it really helpful to look at someone else's paper and help them, which in turn helped me with my own paper. Also, the class discussion about Kate's paper also helped greatly with thoughts about my thesis, transitions, etc.

I also got a lot out of the workshops. It's always nice to have another set of eyes look over your ideas to make sure they are coherent, because it is always easy to understand your own ideas but for other it might not be so. Looking at other people's ideas, like you said, gave me some ideas for my paper as well. I really can't wait to be done with this though and start on our graphic memoirs!
ReplyDeleteI liked the idea of the workshops but to be honest I wish I would have had a more clear idea of what my paper was before we did them. That's my fault. But totally it even helped my fledgling paper evolve. Kate's essay was also good (probably even more helpful than the workshop itself) because it gave us a model in which we could compare our papers to and that helped me discover how to set mine up.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the idea of the workshop, but I wish I would have known what we were doing before hand. I had an outline of my paper, but I did not have much of my paper written out, therefore I could not get comments on it. If I would have known ahead of time, I would have written most of my paper before class.
ReplyDeleteI like the workshops but only because I like to be able to see what other people have written because it gives me ideas for my own paper. Or it allows me to see that I am on the right track with the paper. I also liked seeing Kate's essay because it helped me see what she was looking for because not all teachers want the same thing in their papers.
ReplyDeleteI feel that the worskshop was very helpful because it allowed me to see how other people approached the process of rhethorical analysis on a comic. It was also nice because I got some feedback from some others on my paper, since the other two members of my group did the same story it was quite helpful.
