Comp 4
I think that I have finally decided what I will be doing my graphic memoir about after much thought from that Tuesday class(which really helped). Luckily, my idea for comp 4, which is a trip I took with many friends up to Rothbury, Michigan after we graduated from high school for a three day music festival, has many pictures that I can use. I usually don't take many pictures so I was a little worried at first for this project due to lack of materials, but luckily I have probably over 100 photos of the trip. Also, thanks to the social networking site of facebook, I can view and use my friends photos from the trip as well in my project.

I am looking forward to seeing your memoir. A lot of my friends go to Rothbury every year but I have yet to make the quest myself. It is cool to see how you are also able to use the internet to incorporate your friends' pictures if need be. Also, I think using real pictures could make a really great memoir.
ReplyDeleteI am like you, and I don't take many pictures at all. This is a bit of a problem for me because I don't have any photos to use a resources, so I'll have to do most of it through drawing. Also, it is a good idea to create your memoir around something that has happened relatively recently. You'll have a better memory of the events, which can only help you in the storytelling process.
ReplyDeleteFacebook is finally good for something! I have no idea if I am skilled enough to manipulate pictures for my memoir. I feel like the pictures I have so far make it seem very choppy. I definitely need to take some staged photos, but hopefully they will flow with the pictures I am using from last year.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great memoir I went to Lollapalooza last year and i'm going Bonnaroo this year so it will be interesting too see how your experiences compare to mine. I had a fantastic time and i'm sure you saw some amazing shows.
ReplyDeleteI like this idea! music festivals are a great time and I believe you will be about to make a good graphic memoir about Rothbury. I have been to a few and there is just so much you can tell about them through many points of view. I am excited to see your final piece I'm sure it will be good.
