Ending of Persepolis
At first, I was like many in the class and disliked Persepolis far more than Maus. Although I still may not like Persepolis as I do Maus, I have grown to respect and even enjoy Persepolis through reading it. The ending of Persepolis though kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Following the rest of the book, the ending was choppy and lacking some closure. I mean so much happens at the end; Marjane gets divorced, moves away, and her grandmother dies. This all happens in around ten pages, and I felt that more explanation was needed. I mean what happened to Reza? I get the fact they got divorced but being near the end a little background of what happened to him would have been nice. This was a feeling I consistently had throughout the book. I guess I was just expecting more closure, maybe how her life turned out when she moved or just something. What do you all think?

I actually preferred the second half of Persepolis. It was a lot more interesting and I didn't really feel that it was necessary to give an explanation for each thing that happened.
