Comp 1
I found composition 1 to be a very enlightening experience because I have never attempted to create memoirs in these various ways. For my memoir I decided to communicate my experiences of traveling through Europe and how they have impacted my life. Creating the six word memoir was very interesting because it really put a premium on diction since you have to communicate your experience to your audience in only six words. I found that the six word memoir took the the alot of revision but if you work at it you can create a powerful memoir in only six words. Using six images to compose of memoir about your experiences was the memoir that I found most rewarding because it allowed me to see how powerful communicating through different forms of media can truly be. The 66-word memoir was the memoir that gave me the most difficulty because I had some trouble editing and revising my memoir to best communicate my experience to the audience, this variation allowed for a lot more room to expand upon my experiences.

I would agree I loved this composition, it taught me a lot about how you can convey ideas and how to communicate to certain audiences. The six word memoir was also one of my favorites because you can make a powerful message in six words, it's true but it did take a lot of revision to get the appropriate message to your targeted audience.
ReplyDeleteThis composition was a lot of fun for me and a lot of hard work. I liked being able to put the six images together but it was hard for me to get them to create a story. It was a lot easier for me to create the 66 word memoir because I had some more room for descriptions.
ReplyDeleteI really liked this composition mostly because I enjoyed trying to put my six images together in a way that my audience would understand the story I was trying to tell. The 66 word memoir was a little more frustrating because I wanted to describe a lot more but I had to restrain myself form going overboard with it.
ReplyDeleteThough there were 3 pieces to this project and they were all suppose to convey the same experience I took them to be cohesive, rather than separate. The strength I saw in the 6 word memoir was the broad appeal they had. Rather than trying to encompass the entirety of the experience I was trying to create in those 6 words I used them to create the context in which I could stage the events and conflicts.
