On Composition 4 - memoir plus research

In putting together my narrative and images for the classes final composition assignment, I found that a little bit of research was necessary.
Because memoir is supposed to be about a snapshot of one's own personal experience not much other than narrative and rhetorical choices are the main considerations. However, for my final composition, I have included research on aspects of animals and the environment. The reason is sometimes people experience a subject that was not fully understood when the event took place; or a series of events may have taken place so that only the memoirist's own aspect is what has been learned or carried forward. For instance, in order to build ethos with my audience, I took photographs at the Orton Library on campus, and gathered information on Ohio wildlife from the Thompson Main Library.

I don't think that my personal experience on the subject of the effects of the environment on animals lives is enough to make my memoir interesting. My experience alone has really just been traveling throughout the state, the media, and my first pet.
Although I really would have liked the opportunity to view other classmate's final compositions, I am excited about the opportunity to see mine completed.
